Meet Emily.

I’m Emily Barroso—a national award-winning novelist, former indie publisher, developmental editor, academic editor, ghostwriter, sometime journalist, and book coach. I have almost 30 years of publishing industry experience and have coached authors of all types to success in both literary and academic fields.

My bespoke coaching formula utilises everything I have learned in writing, producing, and marketing books, distilled into three distinct packages. These packages tackle every area of the book business, from your initial idea to what it takes to see your book in a bookshop. I combine my own creativity, literary skill, and industry nous with the empathy and can-do attitude of someone who’s been where you are. My goal is to pass on these hard-won lessons to take your writing further and faster than you ever imagined.

It took me 10 years to see my first award-winning novel in Daunt Books and Waterstones, but I can draw out your best work and give you the best possible advantage in a fraction of the time. My aim is to help make your book dream come true as expediently as possible.
